His number one feedback was that the technology must be reliable. He pointed out that if our product is not 100% consistent, The audience will not be able to see the connection between the gestures and the waves. Without this correlation, the audience will be confused and the technology will become a mere distraction.
Keith Hinze, Technical Director of Drama Tech:
After viewing our presentation, Keith was not excited about the amount of accuracy needed for each gesture to be recognized by the Kinect. He found this aspect to be restraining and believes that this may have a negative impact on the acting. Without the ability to make the gesture their own, Keith is afraid that the play will lose some of the characterization actors would normally bring to a role.
